Easy to handle and sturdy trailed scarifier

The SC95 is trailed scarifier and fits to any midi tractor or sit-on mower with a pin hitch. It is designed and built in Italy to deliver consistent, robust performance over time thanks to its long-life blades and to be a reliable tool for gardeners, lawn maintenance companies and groundsmen.

The stylish grey and yellow unit is equipped with a Honda GX390 petrol engine delivering 13hp direct to the 95cm long shaft that incorporates 69 swinging blades.

Transmission is via a double toothed-belt for constant grip and power transmission with a built-in belt tensioner on a 60mm double bearing which maintains a proper belt tension and reduces wear - reducing normal maintenance work. The bearing is encased in a specialised cast iron support.

Cassettes and soft rubber wheels

The knives are heat treated for durability and are spring loaded which allows both verticutting, with vertical cuts from about half an inch deep, and the gentle removal of thatch by skimming the soil. The wheels sit on a 20mm axle with bearing and are semi-filled, so they do not deflate or risk punctures while protecting the surface it's working on. Height adjustment is a simple threaded knob with large handgrip and a locking bar located on the top cover for easy access and is connected to the raising/ lowering arm.

The belts are armoured so can withstand heavy sustained use or regular on/ off and spares for the towable scarifier are also available, such as knives and belts.. There are individual knives to fit different cutting cassettes: a fixed double sided blade cassette and a hybrid swing knives plus sprung tines for verticutting,thatch removal and moss raking.This allows the work to be tailored to the specific needs of the grassed area.
